About the job

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk organizes and executes all inbound and outbound inventory functions for the Manufacturing Department. This includes physical material handling and associated ERP system transactions. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in the office. This position may be assigned additional duties as determined by their Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Process all Purchase Order and Transfer Order Receipts and associated Put-away activities
  • Monitor, document, and communicate inventory and delivery issues and coordinate with internal stakeholders on appropriate resolution
  • Maintain accurate and effective inventory control to ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in their respective areas
  • Ensure outbound shipments are scheduled and processed in a timely and accurate manner with the appropriate documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and at least 1 year of relative experience
  • Computer literate with keyboarding skills and intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work through difficult situations and respond promptly to customer needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflict and maintain confidentiality
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and action in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations
  • General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS
