About the Job

This role is responsible for operating high-powered, fast-moving mixing equipment to ensure the precise blending of ingredients in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), FDA regulations, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in a regulated manufacturing setting, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor high-speed mixing equipment to blend raw materials according to strict production formulas and quality specifications.
  • Ensure batch accuracy by measuring and adding ingredients according to FDA-regulated procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency, minimize waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Follow all FDA, GMP, and HACCP requirements to ensure product safety and compliance.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance to prevent downtime.
  • Complete detailed batch records and documentation in accordance with FDA guidelines to ensure full traceability.
  • Adhere to strict sanitation protocols, including equipment cleaning, swabbing, and changeover procedures, to prevent contamination.
  • Report any deviations, equipment malfunctions, or non-conformances to the supervisor and quality team immediately.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and GMP standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, food, beverage, or CPG industry preferred).
  • Prior experience operating high-speed mixers, blenders, or other industrial mixing equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and FDA compliance requirements.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and follow batch sheets, SOPs, and technical instructions accurately.
  • Attention to detail and record-keeping skills to ensure accurate batch documentation.
  • Comfortable working with computerized control systems to monitor and adjust machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training is a plus.
