About the job

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating production schedules to ensure that customer demands are met efficiently and on time. This role coordinates with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management teams to optimize production resources and minimize downtime while maintaining high product quality and compliance with safety standards. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in the office, though additional time may be necessary. This position may be assigned special projects, as determined by the supervisor.

Essential Functions

  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and capacity constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, manufacturing, warehousing, and sales to ensure production targets are aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust plans as needed to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials and components through coordination with the procurement team.
  • Analyze capacity and resource requirements, identifying potential bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of production plans, work orders, and scheduling changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance data and suggesting enhancements to planning processes.
  • Participate in new product launches and phase-outs, ensuring smooth integration into the production schedule.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders regarding schedules, changes, and issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory management best practices is a plus.
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations
  • General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • CPG Manufacturing
